Everything you need to know before signing up

Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?

No. Your 14-day trial starts the moment you create an account β€” no payment information required. You'll only be asked for a card if you choose to continue after the trial ends.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data stays in our system for 30 days after cancellation. Pro and Enterprise customers can export all client, appointment, and financial data as CSV before cancelling. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted.

How does the SMS limit work?

SMS credits reset each billing cycle. Outbound reminders and two-way reply messages both count toward your limit. If you regularly hit your plan's limit, you can upgrade to the next tier or contact us about additional credits. Enterprise includes unlimited SMS.

Can I change my plan at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade immediately β€” the price difference is prorated for the rest of your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Do my clients need to create an account to book online?

Never. Your public booking page works for any client β€” no registration, no password. Clients simply enter their name, phone, and email. The system automatically recognizes returning clients by phone or email so their history stays intact.

Is there a setup fee or long-term contract?

No setup fees and no contracts. All plans are month-to-month, and you can cancel any time from your account settings.

What does "white-label booking page" mean on the Pro plan?

On Starter and Salon, your booking page shows a small "Powered by Petal" footer. Pro removes all Petal branding so your booking page looks 100% like your own salon's product.

How does the Enterprise plan work for multiple locations?

Enterprise accounts are fully multi-tenant β€” each location has its own isolated data, staff roster, services, and booking page, but management can view cross-location analytics from a single owner dashboard. Pricing is quoted based on number of locations and monthly SMS volume.
